This service consists of a selected number of meals being prepared, packaged, and labeled to be enjoyed at the leisure of the client. Meals will be stored in the refrigerator and freezer. Each entrée includes the appropriate side dish. Customized preparation and heating instructions are included.
Fresh Service is the same as the Classic Personal Chef Service except that no meals are frozen. The meals are prepared and then left either warming in your oven, or packaged in your refrigerator to be enjoyed within three to four days. Fresh service will include more fresh salads, fruits, and other no-freezable dishes. This package is popular with clients who still enjoy eating out a few times a week but want to enjoy great food when they choose to stay home.
Container Fee: Depending on the service you request, you can pay a one-time fee for reusable containers or $15 per session for disposable containers. Reusable containers can be glass Pyrex (or similar), which will require a $100 deposit. This amount generally covers a set of 8 to 10 containers. Any unused amount will be refunded to you and any additional pieces that are required, costing more than $100, will be added to your second payment. You may also choose reusable plastic containers, the cost of which is $50.
The reason for a container fee (which all personal chefs charge) is to ensure:
- That proper and sufficient containers are available to package all entrees and side dishes,
- Easy and proper storage in the refrigerator or freezer, and
- That containers seal properly and securely.
Your Personal Chef can also cater small dinner parties from the safety of your own kitchen. These parties can be buffet style, served by the host or hostess, or served by the chef. Prices are dependant upon number of courses and complexity of the selected menu. For parties over six people, a server may be needed and billed out at $25 per hour.
- Full Service Dinner parties include planning, shopping, preparing the food, serving and clean up:
Per person - $35 - $65 plus the cost of food.
- Partial Service Dinner Parties include planning, shopping, preparing the food and setting up the food for the host to serve. I can leave before your guests even arrive:
Per person - $30 - $60 plus the cost of food.
- Buffet Style parties include planning, shopping, preparing the food and setting up the buffet:
Per person - $35 plus the cost of food (Price varies depending on menu selection – Call for more information – 301.943-0595).
Small group cooking classes can be given in the client's home. Classes will usually consist of 2 to 10 people. The Personal Chef will teach a lesson on how to make a certain dish or types of dishes to the group and they will participate in making the dish to enjoy at the end of the class. Example classes are Spanish Tapas, Soups, Salads, Pastas, Sushi, etc.
A Romantic Dinner for Two can be a 3, 5 or 7 course Chef’s Menu. This includes a romantically set table with flowers and candles, framed dinner menu, linen table cloth and napkins, china setting and silverware.
3-Course Chef’s Menu: $300 (Amuse included)
5-Course Chef’s Menu: $400 (Amuse + Intermezzo included)
7-Course Chef’s Menu: $500 (Amuse + intermezzo included)
Wine suggestion is available, and if provided will be added to the cost of the chosen Menu.
